3	Níca maita Nyarrincë uma ressë mina túvë mitwen mina vircolca quanta porisalquenen.	            	A little hungry Mouse found his way one day into a basket of corn.
	Maunë sen þanga insë laca na mitta ter i arca latya imbë i vircolco rimpi.	               	He had to squeeze himself a good deal to get through the narrow opening between the strips of the basket.
	Mal i porisalquë telyanteánë ar i Nyarrincë nánë turinda mittiën.	          	But the corn was tempting and the Mouse was determined to get in.
	Yá teldavë túriénes, mammatanes tenna rúvaila.	       	When at last he had succeeded, he gorged himself to bursting.
	É, olanes landa hapandë höasselion neldë os quilitsë han yandë nánes yá mittanes.	              	Indeed he he became about three times as big around the middle as he was when he went in.
4	Teldavë felles fartaina ar rumnes insë i latyanna loiën.	         	At last he felt satisfied and dragged himself to the opening to get out again.
	Mal ampolliëryanen rië pollë rasë carya.	      	But the best he could do was to get his head out.
	Epetai tassë harunë ñónaila ar nuryaila, ?? ?? i ?? ?? ?? ar ???? ?? uþiën i vircolcallo.	                   	So there he sat groaning and moaning, both from the discomfort inside him and his anxiety to escape from the basket.
5	Poica tá Andanyarro tullë arë.	     	Just then a Weasel came by.
	Hanyanes i nattusta lintië.	    	He understood the situation quickly.
6	“Málonya”, eques, “Istan ya cáranelyë.	       	"My friend," he said, "I know what you've been doing.
	Þañquanteánelyë.	 	You've been stuffing.
	Ta ná ya hrityal.	    	That's what you get.
	Möa lyen sérë tassë tenna feluval imallë yallë fellel yá mittanelyë.	           	You will have to stay there till you feel just like you did when you went in.
	?? ??, ar faren mára lyen.”	       	Good night, and good enough for you."
7	Ar ta nánë quanna ofelmë ya i almelóra Nyarrincë cávë.	          	And that was all the sympathy the poor Mouse got.
