【3】 Rusco umaurë tuntanë vanya marina mirupiosta ya linganë liantessë latila pelas i olbar aldo.
► A Fox one day spied a beautiful bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine trained along the branches of a tree.
¶ I mirupior nemner feryë ruviën piryanen, ar i Ruscuva songassë celunë lan tirnes tai xaraila.
► The grapes seemed ready to burst with juice, and the Fox's mouth watered as he gazed longingly at them.
【4】 I piosta linganë orna olbassë, ar maunë i Rusquen capë sanna.
► The bunch hung from a high branch, and the Fox had to jump for it.
¶ Minya lussë yá campes, loitanesses háya.
► The first time he jumped he missed it by a long way.
¶ Etta patanes öa þenna menanen ar norila campes tanna, mal lanantes öa ata.
► So he walked off a short distance and took a running leap at it, only to fall short once more.
¶ At' ar ata rinces, mal lustavë.
► Again and again he tried, but in vain.
【5】 Sí harunes ar tirnes i mirupior feuvénen.
► Now he sat down and looked at the grapes in disgust.
【6】 “Taitë aut nanyë,” eques.
► "What a fool I am," he said.
¶ “Ela lumbateänyë na ñetë piosta naxë mirupióron yai uir valasta hacë.”
► "Here I am wearing myself out to get a bunch of sour grapes that are not worth gaping for."
【7】 Ar öa patanes laca, laca yaiwenen.::
► And off he walked very, very scornfully.
